In the Hallmark Channel’s “A Holiday Spectacular,” set against the nostalgic backdrop of 1958, we brought the era to life by meticulously preparing multiple shots with set extensions and matte paintings. Our team enhanced the authenticity of the scenes by multiplying crowds and filling the streets with period-specific cars, immersing viewers in the vibrant atmosphere of the time. These visual elements were crucial in recreating the charm of the late 1950s, adding depth and realism to the movie’s festive narrative.
Our work encompassed 2D and 3D set extensions, intricate 3D shots, and expert compositing to seamlessly blend all elements together. Collaborating closely with director John Putch and the production team at Hallmark, we ensured that every detail aligned with the storytelling and period aesthetics. This project allowed us to showcase our capabilities in visual effects, contributing to a heartwarming holiday film that captures the spirit of the season.
